Spring is on it’s way, even though it barely feels like it, meaning you need to stock up on one of this season’s hottest patterns, stripes! According to the fashion gurus, graphic stripes are going to be seen everywhere after making their debut in Pre Fall 2018 collections. I happened to find this dress during a quick shopping stint in Zara Philadelphia on Walnut Street. The Trafaluc section is always a go to of mine, trendy and affordable! As soon as I laid my eyes on this piece, I knew it needed a place in my closet. Maxi dresses are ideal for Spring when the weather is transitioning but you still want to look the part. You can wear them with boots and a jacket (as pictured) in colder weather, or sandals once it warms up. Stay on trend in stripes and bring on spring!
This dress is less than 2 weeks old so it’s not online yet, however give Zara a few more weeks and it should pop up. For now you can check in store or if you want to shop asap, ASOS has you covered with two similar options, here and here! What make’s this particular piece special is the funnel neck zip, that allows you to transition from 9-5 to 5-9 easily! You’ll see this on tons of shirts and dresses this season, a simple yet major detail.
Zipped up creates a polished day look and with a little tug, you can show off some assets & party the early evening away!
I accessorized with a black drape front leather jacket and two tone snakeskin boots. Drape front is a great way to dress up any look and add some drama. When mixing and matching patterns make sure the color tones are the same, creating one seamless look. Once I saw the patterns together I knew that a pattern clash was underway. My trusty Gucci bag that can carry everything from a MacBook to just a wallet works well as a day to night bag because of the hobo shape. You can grab similar accessories below to finish your look, even this Gucci bag which is under $300 pre owned 🙂
Last but not least, definitely not least, is my amazing lip from none other than The Lip Bar. Bawse Lady is my favorite matte red, it lasts for a few hours and it’s not too dull or bright. It’s sold out online BUT you can check your local Target Stores! (two snaps)
